Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $25–$35/hour (based on experience)
Shift: Night Shift Opportunities Available
Overtime: Available as needed, including evenings and weekends
Experience Level: 3–5+ years CNC machining experience preferred
Work Authorization: U.S. Citizenship Required (Access to DoD facilities required. Visa sponsorship is not available.)

$2,000 Sign-On Bonus

What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

• Set up and operate CNC machining equipment for heavy industrial components
• Read blueprints, engineering drawings, and job travelers
• Select tooling, fixtures, inserts, and workholding for each job
• Perform machine setups on vertical and horizontal machining centers and CNC turning centers
• Hold close tolerances down to ±0.001"
• Inspect parts using precision measuring equipment
• Perform boring, drilling, tapping, turning, honing, polishing, and related machining operations
• Safely operate overhead cranes and lifting equipment to handle large workpieces
• Track jobs using JobBOSS and Travelers
• Perform light machine maintenance and maintain a clean work area
• Work closely with programmers, supervisors, and fellow machinists to complete projects safely and efficiently

What We're Looking ForRequired

• High school diploma or GED
• 3–5 years of CNC machining experience preferred
• Experience setting up and operating CNC machining centers and CNC lathes
• Familiarity with Fanuc, Mazatrol, Okuma, or DMG MORI controls
• Ability to maintain tolerances to ±0.001"
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T
• Experience using precision measuring tools
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Willingness to work at both Portsmouth facilities as business needs require
• Willingness to work overtime when needed
• U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred

• Large-part machining experience
• Boring mill experience
• In-place machining experience
• Forklift certification or experience
• Overhead crane experience
• Experience with JobBOSS

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Safely operate overhead cranes and lifting devices
• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and use stairs throughout the shift
• Perform precision measuring and computer-based job tracking
